Hutch (and Starsky)'s Story

Starsky & Hutch – The Ultimate Brother Duo. Some bonds are simply unbreakable and Starsky and Hutch are the perfect example. These inseparable brothers have been side by side since birth, and they are looking for a forever home where they can continue their journey together.

They were lovingly surrendered to ARF Tulsa due to a significant change in their family’s financial situation. Their previous family clearly poured love into raising them, and it shows—these boys are incredibly sweet, well-socialized, and accustomed to a home with young children and other cats. With proper introductions, they would likely do well with a calm, respectful dog, too. They are a packaged pair and must be adopted together. No exceptions.

Meet Hutch
Hutch is a brown tabby and white DSH with a personality that fills the room. He’s the brave, outgoing half of the duo—the first to greet you, the first to play, and Starsky’s trusted signal that “everything is safe.” This boy is incredibly adaptive and deeply loving—so much so that he may even forget to eat because he’s too excited to be near his people. Hutch is a fierce snuggler, always wanting to be touching you in some way. He will follow you everywhere like a little shadow, weaving between your legs and making sure you’re never alone (yes—he may occasionally trip you, but it’s worth it). Hutch is playful, social, and loves feather toys, spring toys, and plush mice, but his favorite place will always be right next to you.

Meet Starsky
Starsky is a stunning male Norwegian Forest mix with a luxurious black and brown coat and an absolutely magnificent fluffy tail. He’s a gentle giant in every sense—large, soft-hearted, and quietly observant. He tends to take in the world from above (literally), preferring high perches like cat trees or window hammocks where he can lounge beside his brother and supervise his kingdom. While he may be a bit cautious at first, his curiosity and sweetness shine through once he feels comfortable. Starsky loves being brushed and will need regular grooming to keep his coat healthy and free of mats. He also benefits from a digestive support routine, currently enjoying Royal Canin Digestive Care wet food daily to help prevent hairballs.

Their Care & Needs
These boys thrive with a little extra support to keep them feeling their best:
-> Currently eating Royal Canin Urinary Care (dry & wet) for Hutch’s urinary health
-> Require a water fountain (they prefer moving water over still bowls)
-> Starsky benefits from digestive care food for coat and hairball management
-> Starsky will need regular grooming and brushing
-> Sturdy cat trees or shelving are a must especially for Starsky’s size and preferences

The Perfect Home
Starsky and Hutch are looking for a home that will appreciate both their playful energy and their sweet companionship. They would do well in a variety of homes, including those with children, other cats, or a calm dog but above all, they need a family committed to keeping them together, always. You’ll often find them curled up side by side in a sunny window, reminding you daily just how special their bond is.

Starsky and Hutch aren’t just pets … they’re a built-in pair of best friends, bringing double the love, double the personality, and a lifetime of companionship.

Starsky and Hutch are fully vetted, were born April 2023, have a joint adoption fee of $185, and can be adopted outside the immediate Tulsa area. Apply online here (please read all requirements prior to applying): https://arftulsa.wufoo.com/forms/arf-cat-adoption-application/

Note: ARF reserves the right to deny any application that is deemed unsuitable for the animal. Please be aware that our animal adoptions are NOT on a first come- first serve basis. Our sole purpose is to find the best possible home for the animals that fall under our care. We do not ship our animals. All adopters are expected to come to Tulsa if approved.

For details on how to adopt please visit http://www.arftulsa.org/adopt.
