Hunter’s story is one of survival, strength, and sweetness beyond measure. As a fragile kitten, he was taken in by well-meaning people who didn't understand his needs. After a traumatic start—including being dropped on his head and left outside on one of the coldest Florida nights, soaking wet—Hunter suffered severe brain trauma that changed his life forever.
Now, seven months later, Hunter has defied the odds with the help of his loving rescue team. He’s a very special boy—partially blind, had an eye removed, with ongoing neurological challenges, and unable to regulate his body temperature on his own. He’s remained small for his age, but his heart is enormous. He walks with a head tilt and falls often, he is a little wobbly at times. His immune system is not great so it is important he is on a daily immunity supplement and has regular vet visits.
Despite everything, Hunter is pure love. He adores people, melts into your arms like a baby, and thrives on affection. He will happily be held all day if you let him, purring contentedly and soaking in every kind word and snuggle.
Hunter has specific needs:
• He must live indoors only in a temperature-controlled home.
• He should be crated safely when not being held or supervised, for his own well-being.
• He needs a family who is home often—ideally someone who can carry him, cuddle him, and remind him daily how cherished he is.
He also struggles with the litter box when he is left unattended. when he is on a schedule it is easy to manage.
Hunter is not just a cat—he's a gentle soul looking for his person.
