Hunk's Story

*Adoptions are currently by appointment. If you'd like to learn more or you are interested in adopting, please use the "Apply for Adoption" button to complete our adoption survey. This survey helps us learn more about you and answer any questions you may have, it is not a commitment to adopt.*

Hello, my name is Hunk and I am a hunk of love! I enjoy meeting new people, snoozes in bed, and being curious about the world around me. At 2 years old, I still have a lot of playtime in me too. I am a confident cat looking for a forever home that would like to snuggle me, keep me healthy, and where I can be an only cat (or have FIV+ friends!).

Something special about me is that I am FIV+. FIV is Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. I should live a long and healthy life but need some special care in my new home. FIV+ cats should be kept exclusively indoors, free from unnecessary stress and fed a high-quality diet. Most importantly, any health issues that do arise - be it a dental issue, parasite infestation or common feline infections (like a UTI) should be dealt with as soon as possible by bringing me to the vet. FIV is not transferable to humans or dogs and is very hard to transfer to other cats.

If you have room in your heart for a special boy like me, fill our an adoption survey today and feel free to call C.A.R.E. for more information.
