HUFFMAN's Story

MEET HUFFMAN! My name is Huffman and I am ready to play! I am only 1 year old, but I have waited a long time for a family of my own, so please forgive me for being overly eager. I am a super special boy for many reasons, the main one being my stunning good looks. I really LOVE to play, but I can sometimes be a little wobbly on my back legs – don’t let that make you feel sorry for me, because I can keep up pretty well! I am the perfect mix of cute, cuddly, and chaotic – and trust me, that’s exactly what you need! I arrived at the shelter with what shelter staff thinks was a previous injury that was still in the process of healing. I had feeling in my back and hind legs, but I was super wobbly and it was hard for me to stand up straight. They did some x-rays on me and didn’ t see anything obviously wrong, so they gave me time to heal and build strength in my legs. Within a few weeks, I was walking much better, jumping up on chairs, and almost back to my normal self! I still can be a little wobbly, but the staff says it just adds to my character! I have tested well with other cats at the shelter as long as I am introduced to them slowly since I am still building confidence, but I would do so perfectly as an only cat. I am up to date on vaccines, neutered, current on prevention, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative. I would add so much joy and goofy antics to a forever family – I just need someone to fall in love with me first! Complete an adoption survey at https://cognitoforms.com/YorkCountyAnimalControl/petadoptionsurvey. All Adoptions require a Pre-Adoption Interview with a YCAS Adoption Counselor, a meet and greet, and adoption approval. Every adoptable cat is Spayed or Neutered, implanted with a microchip, current on age appropriate vaccinations including a current 1-year Rabies Vaccination, and current on monthly Flea/tick prevention. All pets are behaviorally and medically evaluated prior to being placed up for adoption. The adoption fee is $77.
