Horton's Story
Hi there, my name is Horton, and I'm looking for my forever home!

First off, the basics: I am an adorably chunky, potato-shaped brown tabby domestic shorthair kitty. I'm estimated to be about 2-3 years old. I came from a sad situation where my owner died and I was left in an home without anyone to take care of me and the several other kitties in the residence. The house was in extreme disarray and the rescuers had their work cut out for them trying to ensure they located all of us. Just as they were about to leave for the day, they heard a tiny little meow coming from a closed cupboard. That was me! I was really scared but I made myself brave and spoke up because I didn't want to be left behind.

When I first arrived at my foster home, I was really shut down. I didn't even want to look at my foster mom. I just wanted to huddle in a corner. But, with some TLC, I have blossomed into an extremely friendly and lovable kitty! I can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but I adjust quickly. I love attention, especially getting pets and belly rubs, and I'm very affectionate in return. I'm super gentle and sweet and lovable in every way.

I'm a chill guy -- I'm well-behaved, quiet, and not very demanding, but I absolutely love having human companionship and attention. When no one's around, I keep myself occupied with snacking and napping or playing with an occasional toy. I have good social skills with other cats and enjoy their company, but OPP thinks I would do well as an only cat too. I'm still learning about dogs, but OPP thinks I'd do well with cat-friendly dogs after a proper introduction.

I will come to my new family neutered, vaccinated, combo tested negative, and dewormed. I always use my litterbox like a good boy. Ask Operation Press Paws about adopting me today!
