Hope's Story

Hope is a beautiful reminder that love comes in many forms—even the quiet, quirky ones. With her sweet, gentle nature and a playful spark, Hope may not be the first to jump into your lap, but she’ll absolutely jump into your heart.

While she’s more of an independent girl who prefers her personal space, Hope still brings tons of joy to any home. She’s got a silly streak that shines when her favorite toys come out—especially the laser pointer and anything interactive. Her daily zoomies are a highlight, and she’ll happily chase just about anything that moves. One of her favorite games? Gently batting at your hand during playtime—always respectful, never rough.

Hope is also a major fan of Temptations treats (just hold the beef and catnip flavors, please!). She’ll even let you know it’s treat time with her cute little voice, and with a bit of patience, she’ll take them right from your hand.

Hope's favorite pastime is sitting in a sunny window, quietly watching the world go by. Whether it's birds, leaves, or people passing, she finds peaceful joy in observing life outside—it's her way of relaxing and recharging.

When it comes to other cats, Hope prefers the “you do your thing, I’ll do mine” approach—but she’s recently been spotted playing with a kitten friend (who may have given her no choice in the matter!). That’s a big step for our independent girl and shows she has room to grow and adapt with the right companions.

Hope came into rescue after being trapped as part of a TNR effort and was brought in because she tested positive for FIV. But don't let that worry you—FIV+ cats can and do live long, healthy, happy lives, just like any other kitty. Hope has never shown any signs of illness and is thriving in foster care.

She’s looking for a calm, patient home that will appreciate her for who she is: a quiet joy, with a playful spirit and occasional zoomies, and a special cat who doesn’t need to be held to hold your heart, but she does need those temptations and has no issues letting you know lol.

Could you be the person to give Hope the safe, loving forever home she deserves?
