HOOT's Story

Happy Spring! Warmer weather is finally on it's way and so is Kitten Season! We need to make room for new Moms and kittens so they can be fixed and get them forever homes! Please consider adopting- especially some of our older residents! Maybe even two? Remember you save TWO cats lives and help countless more cats & kittens by adopting! When you adopt one cat, it makes room to save another! Win! Win! The kitties thank you too!

This is Hoot!
Hoot is a domestic short haired black minipanther spayed female, up to date on her shots and approximately 3 years old.
Hoot is available for adoption to be an indoor ONLY cat from Griffith Animal Control/Treasured Friends Rescue in Northwest Indiana.

Hoot! Hoot! I mean Meow! Meow!
I bet you can guess why my name is Hoot!
My big orange eye loom like an owls eyes! I'm just a little kitty though! My sleek black coat also make some look like a minipanther, but I'm just a sweetie pie! And this little orange eyed black minipanther is looking for a home!!

My story is the same as a lot of other kitties at the shelter. I was found outside looking for food and a nice person spotted me and knew I needed help so they brought me to the shelter to start my new life! And now I have lots of food and water! Plus I get lots of pets too! Pets were something I could never find outside, but now I get lots!

I am a little older, but I still have some kitten energy too! I love playing with my mousey toys and balls! And I’m always ready to make a new friend and I get along with other kitties! Older kids are okay too but I'm not sure about dogs. Hopefully I've convinced you to at least come and meet me and the shelter? Whooo whooo will be my forever home? I hope it's you!

If you’re looking for the sweetest little
minipanther ever please call 219-922-1766 and leave a message to meet Hoot! Also, please fill out an adoption application online at TreasuredFriendsRescue.org or follow the link from our profile at Petfinder (scroll down to the bottom of the main page for the link)
****************************************
Griffith Animal Control, in partnership with Treasured Friends Animal Rescue believes in giving kitties that others wouldn't give a chance, a helping hand at getting a forever home. Our volunteers work with shy and/or unsocialized kitties everyday to gain their trust to show them they are safe and no one will hurt them. However, when the kitties go to a new home, some will require extra time to get used to new surroundings and different people. Please consider giving a kittie who might need a little time to get used to a new home, a chance. This is a serious commitment and it sets the kitties back in their level of trust if they are given up after a few weeks or months. We are always here to help with any questions Please, only apply if you are an experienced cat owner or are willing to provide patience and good forever home.
Thank you!
