Hooba's Story

DOB: 5/2024

Hooba was rescued from a life outside, and when he first arrived, he made it clear he wasn’t sure about this whole “people” thing. The world hadn’t always been kind to him, and he was scared and upset, just trying to protect himself the only way he knew how.

But with time, patience, and consistency, Hooba has already come so far. He’s learned that he is safe now. The fear that once defined his days has softened, and in its place is a quiet curiosity and a growing willingness to trust. He’s still on his journey, but every day he takes another small step toward believing that humans can be gentle, too.

Hooba is looking for a calm, understanding home with someone who will let him move at his own pace — someone who will celebrate the tiny victories and never rush him. If you have a kind heart and a little patience, you might be exactly the person who shows Hooba just how loving humans can be.

Come meet me at the cage-free Adoption Center! All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. **If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.**
