Honey's Story

Hi! I am Honey - a young orange/buff colored tabby kitten. I came to the shelter with my mama, Snowball. We both came in quite sick, with infected eyes and upper respiratory infections. My shelter family got to work and is helping us on the road to recovery with medications, love and cuddles. I am a little skittish at first but I do warm up in own time. I am spunky, curious and playful. I like to check out new and interesting things but I cannot be rushed. My shelter family says I will have a larger than life personality, most likely, and will bring lots of smiles and laughs to my family. Keep in mind - much of my personality remains to be unknown because I am still a growing kitten!

I will be spayed when ready and I am up to date on my age appropriate vaccines. My mama was tested for FIV and Feline Leukemia. The test was negative for both. The shelter vet advises to test me when I get a bit bigger. I receive routine flea and tick preventatives, monthly as well as some well deserved pampering periodically: brushing, nail trims & ear cleaning.

My ideal home includes a home where I can get lots of love but also be able to exist and do my own thing. I love to play, snuggle and my curiosity may get the best of me. I do not know how I would do with dogs. I would do best in a home with kids who understand boundaries.

I need a family that is caring, compassionate and loving. I want a family that is patient, willing to give me what I need: a warm bed, plenty of good food & clean water, and lots of pets and love.

My shelter family works tirelessly to ensure I and my friends go to the right family. If you feel that person is you, I'd love to meet you. Please submit an application if you'd like to be considered becoming my family!

We follow a 'same day' adoption process - no need for any additional checks, visits or etc. Please keep in mind: it is always our top priority to place animals in great homes. We reserve the right to decline an applicant if we feel this is not a great fit. 4. Pay Adoption Fee: adoption fees are based on the age, breed and medical care received by the animal. Adoption fees may change without notice however the applicant will be notified if there is a change in the fee. We accept the following payment methods: cash, check and all major debit/credit cards. Credit/Debit card transactions are subject to a 4% credit card processing fee. Please note: ALL ADOPTION FEES are final. There are no refunds. 5. Go Home: if you plan to do a 'same day' adoption, adopters are required to bring a collar & leash (for dog adoptions) and/or cat carrier for (cat adoptions). 6. Live happily ever after: this is the end goal, of course! All adoptions are final - meaning please be certain that you have properly prepared your home, your family and your lifestyle to add in another pet. Rescue animals often need time to decompress and adjust to a new surrounding - please be patient and have grace.
