Hollywood's Story

Do you love watching videos of cats chirping? Adopt Hollywood and you won't have to anymore because she is the queen of chirping! Not only does she chirp at the birds outside, but if the phone rings or her foster mom sneezes or opens a can, Holly turns on the akkakakakakka.

Holly and family came to TCR when a sweet woman found them living in her neighbor's wood pile. Holly has come a long way during her time in foster but is still a little more on shy side. Holly does best in a quiet and predictable setting with another calm, chill cat to help her cat. Since Holly can still be quite shy, she will need a patient adopter who will start her in one room and is willing to give her time to warm up and move at her own pace. She loves her dinnertime routine. She greets her foster mom at the door, rubs all over her legs and meows for her food. Food is the way to Holly's heart - especially churu treats. She likes being petted while she eats her wet food and we can guarantee that she has the softest fur you have ever touched. Holly is very playful and loves playing with the wand toy, laser pointer and other chase toys. She's also an avid bird watcher and snoozer.

Holly would do best in a home with all adults or a home with cat savvy, respectful kids. She is about two years old and has been spayed, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. If you are looking for a beautiful and sweet but shy kitty, apply for Holly today!

**Please note: Hollywood was exposed to a cat in foster that initially tested FeLV negative, then later tested FeLV positive. Holly has tested FeLV- on IDEXX snap and PCR testing here at TCR. She has also been vaccinated against FeLV. To be extra cautious, her future adopters may want to consider having her retested in the future, and/or having any resident cats FeLV vaccinated.

Trash Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy
Typically the potential adopter reaches out either with or without a specific cat in mind. We will usually ask questions about the type of cat the adopter is interested in (any preferences as far as gender, color, personality, etc.), as well as the sort of home the cat would be going to (any kids, other pets, etc.). If we have a cat or kitten who would be a good fit, the adopter can fill out our application for that animal. If not, the person can still fill out the app, and we will keep them if mind if we end up with a cat who we think would be a good fit. Once the app is reviewed/approved (including checking vet and landlord references), we would chat any further with the adopter if needed, and then schedule a meet and greet with them with the cat or kitten. If the animal and the adopter hit it off, the adopter would then fill out our adoption agreement, pay the adoption fee, and take the cat or kitten home!
