Holly's Story

*** COURTESY POST - cat not at shelter ***

This darling 16-year-old is Holly. His mom has had her and her brother Nicholas nearly all their lives, but now she must leave her home and sadly can't take them with her. Due to their ages, we're trying to avoid bringing them to the shelter. Can anyone find it in their hearts to bring in one or both? Family says they aren't incredibly bonded, so they don't necessarily have to go together, but it might be nice if they had a familiar face in a new home.

Holly is a besutiful gray tabby and is a little more shy than Nicholas, but still very sweet and gentle. They're both fixed and up to date on vaccines with no known health issues. They haven't spent a lot of time with dogs in recent years, but were ok with them when their mom pet sat. These days, they both mostly spend their days napping and don't require much. They just need a soft and loving place to land for their remaining years.

If interested, please message Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries on Facebook or email secondchanceas@yahoo.com. They are NOT at the shelter, but are located locally in Tioga County, PA, so we'll coordinate meetings with their mom's family.

Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries's Adoption Policy
Our adoption process: 1) Fill out an application on our website at www.secondchanceas.org/adopt. Please note that submitting an inquiry through PetFinder or other online listing does not constitute an adoption application. Applications can also be downloaded as a pdf and emailed to secondchanceas@yahoo.com or filled out at the sanctuary any time we're open. 2) We will process your application by calling your veterinarian and personal references. How long this takes depends on how quickly we can reach them. You can help expedite this process by letting them know we'll be calling from the number 570-376-3646. We may also call you to ask additional questions or to share pertinent information about the animal you've applied for. 3) We will inform you of your application's status, usually in a few days to a week. Even if the animal you hoped to adopt goes to another home, you still may be approved to adopt another animal. We attempt to match animals to homes that best fit their personality/needs and vice versa. NOTE: You do not have to apply for a specific animal on your application. You can submit it as a "pre-application" for a certain size, age or breed of animal, and if approved, we can contact you if a possible match arrives at the shelter.
