Holly's Story

Holly came to us as a stray with her two kittens, and sadly, no one ever came to reclaim them. Now that her days of caring for her babies are behind her, Holly is ready to find a loving home of her own!
Holly is a sweet girl who can be a little nervous when she first enters a new space. Thankfully, it doesn't take her long to warm up-some gentle head scratches and a few tasty treats are usually all it takes to win her over! Once she feels comfortable, her sweet personality begins to shine.
Holly also has an adorably wonky eye that gives her a little extra character! It doesn't bother her at all, and she still has sight in that eye. It's simply one more thing that makes this sweet girl uniquely Holly.
Holly is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed.

Erath County Humane Society's Adoption Policy
When someone comes in wanting to adopt, we first ask what they are looking for in a new pet. If they can describe what they are looking for, we will make some suggestions based on that criteria, and then let them go through the shelter looking at the adoptable animals. There are kennel cards on each kennel with information specific to that animal. Once they find an animal they are interested in we do a meet and greet with the person interested in adopting. If they have other pets, we recommend a meet and greet with current pets as well. Whatever animal the potential adopter chooses, we highly suggest a 5 day foster period to make sure the animal and the adopter are a good fit.
