What is Alaska SPCA’s adoption process?

Give us a call at 907-344-3033 or stop on by our adoption center at 8301 Petersburg Street and speak with one of our friendly customer service representatives about our application process! People usually fill out an application online or stop by the shelter and express interest in a certain animal. We have a room where they can meet the animal and interact for as long as they want. If they want to consider adoption we send them on a home trial for up to 7 days. If that works out they come back into the office and sign the adoption papers and pay the fee at that time.
