Hoku's Story
Hi there, I’m Hoku, a black-and-white beauty with the longest white whiskers you’ve ever seen and about 10 pounds of charm packed into my little frame. My story isn’t special, at least not yet. I was surrendered to the shelter when my previous owner couldn’t care for me anymore. It wasn’t anyone’s fault, but it left me confused and hoping someone new would see me for who I am: a gentle, playful soul who just needs time to trust again. At first, I can be shy. I like to take things slow and make sure I’m safe. But once I realize you’re kind, my sweet, curious personality starts to shine. I love gentle pets, quiet moments, and the sound of a friendly voice talking to me. I’m spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated, so there are no geographical adoption restrictions for me, anyone can come meet me. I might do fine with other cats after a slow introduction, but what I really need is patience, understanding, and love. If you’re looking for a little light to brighten your home, a soft purr at the end of the day, I’m right here waiting.
