Hobbes's Story

Some cats arrive in our care and adapt quickly and become fun chaos critters right away... and some, like Hobbes, quietly tiptoe in and keep to the sidelines waiting for someone to notice him.

Hobbes is a sweet senior gentleman with the softest, quietest soul. When he first came into our care, he was very clearly overwhelmed, hiding in corners, not eating, and just seeming a little lost in the world. But as it turns out, Hobbes wasn't shy for no reason, he was hurting. After discovering he had four painful molars, our brave boy underwent dental extractions, and the very next day? A whole new Hobbes began to emerge.

Now, with his pain behind him, Hobbes happily enjoys his meals (pate only right now) and is slowly showing us the gentle, loving cat he's always been.

Hobbes is a quiet, kind-hearted older gentleman who doesn't ask for much, just a peaceful home, a cozy spot in the sun, and someone patient enough to let him come around at his own pace.

And as if he wasn't charming enough already, Hobbes is a polydactyl, meaning he has extra toes on his paws! We're all about the toe beans, and having a couple extra is icing on the cake of an already wonderful cat.

Hobbes would thrive in a calm, quiet home where he can spend his days napping in warm sunbeams, enjoying tasty treats, and living the peaceful, pampered life he so deeply deserves. Wed love nothing more than to see him spend his golden years in the literal lap of luxury.

If you have a soft spot for the quiet ones... Hobbes is waiting for you.
