Hippo (Neutered) Photos August 28th 2026)

Hippo is a cute 5-month old male kitten who was surrendered by his family on August 27th 2026 because they did not have the time to spend with Hippo that he really deserved (and wanted).<br/><br/>Hippo has an orange tabby shorthaired coat, a long ringed tail, and a precious kitten face with golden eyes, a pink nose, a splash of white on his muzzle, and long white whiskers.<br/><br/>Hippo was given vaccinations on June 27th 2026 and was given booster vaccines on July 7th.<br/><br/>The name Hippo may sound familiar to our HSOV Facebook followers and volunteers since he was originally brought to our shelter on April 8th 2026 with his mother (Acacia) and his three siblings (Elephant, Kelp Gull and Okapi). Hippo was a tiny 3-week old baby at that time.<br/><br/>Hippo was neutered on July 6th 2026 and was given rabies vaccine. He was adopted on July 7th 2026. <br/><br/>Hippo spent nearly two months in his adoptive home, and he would love to find a forever home asap instead of being in a small shelter cage.<br/><br/>These updated photos of Hippo were taken on August 28th 2026 when he enjoyed out-of-cage time in our 'studio'. Hippo loved scampering around the basket of fall flowers, playing with a tiny toy ball, and exploring new territory. <br/><br/>Hippo weighed 5.52 lbs on August 28th and is still very much a playful youngster.<br/><br/>Hippo was adopted on August 30th 2026 .. So he didn't have to spend very many days in a shelter cage before he was back in a nice home again.
