When Hilton arrived at our shelter with her sister, Tapestry, the two girls had an important job to do — together they were moms to nine little kittens. The plan was for us to care for their babies, spay both moms and then return Hilton and Tapestry to their owner. We kept our promise, and the girls went back home.<br/><br/>But their story wasn’t quite finished. Their owner ultimately realized that keeping Hilton and Tapestry outdoors wasn’t the life she wanted for them. Wanting something better for the girls, she reached out to us and asked if we would take them back and find them loving indoor homes.<br/><br/>And so Hilton has returned — this time with no kittens depending on her and no mothering left to do. This time, it gets to be all about Hilton. She deserves the things every cat should know: a safe home, a favorite window, a cozy place to sleep and a person who looks at her and says, You’re mine. You’re home. Hilton has already been someone’s mama. Now she’s ready to be someone’s baby.
