She has the good looks and awesome personality the breed is known for. She is incredibly affectionate and friendly and loves everyone she meets. She has a dog-like personality and wants nothing more than to sit with you and be pet. She gets along great all the other cats and dogs at her foster home- a true friend of everyone! She has very long, thick fur that gets easily matted (she had to have some mats shaved off when she arrived at DPR). So she will definitely need someone who is committed to brushing and grooming her regularly to keep her comfortable. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as 'available for adoption', that means the animal is still in DPR's care. *Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up 'curb side'. Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *<br/><br/>DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:<br/>Initial vet visit Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)Distemper vaccinationSNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart wormBroad spectrum dewormers Monthly flea/tick preventative Ear mite preventative The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
