Henrietta's Story
Henrietta is a 15 year young senior baby who we pulled from Manhattan Animal Care Center in early September. Henrietta was surrendered to the police with a small dog in rough shape. Her body was frail, fur thin and falling out, but her spirit was still strong. Despite losing the only home she ever knew, Henrietta was ready to love again. After some much needed TLC in a foster home, her chatty personality came out and she was baking biscuits left and right.

Henrietta's favorite things are lounging, food, and making biscuits next to her person. Henrietta will give you the warmest greeting, a few loud crusty meows, when you return from being away, even if it was only for 10 minutes.

Henrietta lived very shortly in a foster home with a respectful senior chihuahua. Although Henrietta showed a bit of nervousness with this dog, we feel she could acclimate to a respectful dog roommate with time. We do not know how Henrietta is with cats. But slow introductions are always a must!

Henrietta came to us with hyperthyroidism which is managed by taking one pill a day. In foster, we found out through bloodwork, that she also has stage 3 Chronic Kidney Disease. Although CKD is not curable, it can be managed through a kidney-friendly diet and monitoring her bloodwork every couple of months.

Henrietta is looking for a quiet and soft place to land in her golden years. With the love you give, she will repay you tenfold with many biscuits and many sweet meows.

Henrietta is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and FELV/FIV negative.

To apply for Henrietta, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the animal is on our website, they are still available.

Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable cat, or final size of any of our adoptable kittens. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the cat into our rescue.

Adoptions: volunteer@waggytailrescue.org
