Henrietta's Story

Henrietta is an approximately 2-year-old gray cat who is learning that life with people can be a good thing. After spending time living outdoors with a large group of cats, shelter life has been a big adjustment—but little by little, Henrietta is finding her footing.

She's still a reserved girl who prefers to take things at her own pace. While she's not quite sure what to think about affection just yet, the dramatic hisses that once greeted us have become fewer and farther between. Every day she seems a little more comfortable, a little more curious, and a little more willing to simply coexist with the people caring for her.

Henrietta doesn't need someone to rush her. She needs someone who understands that trust is built through patience, consistency, and allowing a cat to decide when she's ready. We think the right home will give her the opportunity to continue making the progress we've already been lucky enough to watch.

Henrietta is spayed, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, dewormed, started on age-appropriate vaccinations, and current on monthly flea and tick prevention.

Apply to adopt here:
https://orangecountyva.gov/159/Pet-Adoption-Foster-Care-Information
