Hemingway's Story

Hemingway must be adopted into a home with another young playful cat.

Hi there! My name is Hemingway, and my foster says I'm a handsome little kitten with the cutest "mittens" you'll ever see-I'm a polydactyl, which means I have extra toes. My front paws are black with tiny white mittens, and honestly? I look like I'm always dressed for something important.

I can be a tiny bit shy at first, but don't let that fool you-I'm a total sweetheart. If you sit down on the floor with a toy, especially a wand, I'll warm up instantly. Wand toys, balls, mice, the laser, the "cat TV" on the tablet... I love them all. Throw a toy up in the air and I'll leap to catch it like a tiny athlete!

Once I know you, I'm incredibly affectionate. I adore curling up in laps, being brushed, getting pets, and snuggling right on your chest while I purr and purr. I don't really like being picked up out of the blue, but if you scoop me up when I'm relaxed, I melt into cuddles, especially if you give me kisses. I'm also great with other cats and I've been around kids-just give me a few minutes to get used to them, and then I'm all in.

If you ask my foster what they love most about me, they'd say I have an incredibly gentle soul. I'm playful, curious, affectionate, and happiest when I'm close to my humans. I'm also a professional lap kitten-so if you're looking for a snuggler, you've found your boy.

I'd love a home that wants a cuddly cat who sticks close and enjoys being part of the family. A cat tree would be amazing-I love climbing and perching up high. Also due to my kitten energy I need the company of another feline playmate.

If you're looking for a sweet, soft, mitten-pawed kitten who wants nothing more than to love and be loved, I can't wait to meet you.
