Hela's Story

**Meet Hela!**

Hela is a sweet, affectionate girl with a soft spot for squeeze-up treats and cozy cuddles. Want to become her best friend? Just bring the treats! She's highly motivated by snacks and quickly forgets about everything else when a squeeze-up is involved.

This lovely girl enjoys spending her days perched up high, keeping an eye on everything from her favorite cat tree or shelf. She also loves being held, happily curling up into a little ball in your arms. Once she's settled in, one of her favorite places to sleep is right on her human's chest.

Hela has a playful personality and really enjoys the company of friendly male cats. She loves wrestling and playing with her one-year-old foster brother, Clive, and is endlessly fascinated by her senior foster brother, Archie, often trying to convince him to join in the fun. She has not done well with other female cats, so she'd be happiest as an only cat or with a playful male companion.

She may take a little time to get her bearings in a new home, but before long you'll discover what a loving companion she is.

Hela was found with her brother, Loki. If the opportunity arises, these siblings would love to find a home together, but it's not a requirement. Hela will be just as happy finding a family of her own that's ready to spoil her with treats, high perches, and plenty of love.

Hela is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.

Adoption fees are as follows: $175 for a single cat or kitten, $225 for a pair of cats or kittens.

When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

Animal House of South East Michigan, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment. Our adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten $195 for a pair of cats or kittens Please note that we do not do same day adoptions and all adoption fees are non-refundable. AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We are also flexible if more time is needed to determine if its the right fit. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
