Heidi's Story

Heidi is a domestic short haired, gray tabby and white, spayed female cat with an estimated date of birth of the first week of May 2026. Heidi and 2 sibling kittens were live trapped from the same location in Norman County, MN, that has no local pound or animal control. Heidi spent about 1 month in a temporary foster home with 2 adult cats and a young, 30 pound pitbull-labrador mix.

Heidi is the most outgoing and friendliest of the 3 sisters. Heidi is the sister with the white nose and white tail tip which is similar to a Q-tip. Both Heidi and Heather have a white, zig zag stripe down the middle of their backs. She will seek out pets and purrs happily. She enjoys wand and ball toys.

Heidi can be adopted with one of her sisters Greta or Heather, and if two sisters are adopted together then the adoption fee for one cat is reduced in half to $75.

Spayed; current on vaccinations; feline leukemia virus and feline immunodeficiency virus negative; microchipped; dewormed; and litter box trained.

Far North Feline Rescue's Adoption Policy
Initial contact is usually made via email. Potential adopters are asked to provide basic information such as if they rent or own their residence; have any other pets in the household; have any children in the household; and if they are an established client with a veterinary clinic. Answers to these questions help us determine the best fit for them among the cats available for adoption. Then a meet and greet is set up for that cat in the foster home where more questions can be asked, and the adopter and cat interaction can be observed. Our adoption process is NOT that the first one to contact us is the one who gets to adopt the kitten/cat, and that can be difficult for certain potential adopters to accept. Our goal is to put the kitten or cat in the right home the first time. We allow for a 2 week trial period and the cat or kitten can then be returned to us without judgment and the adoption fee refunded.
