Meet Heaven – an adorable tabby with a heartwarming rescue story. She, her sister, and their mama were found behind a pawn shop on one of the hottest days of the summer. Since then, she’s blossomed into a sweet girl who just needs a little time to warm up. Once she trusts you, Heaven’s playful side bursts through—she’ll zoom around the house chasing toys or her sister with pure joy. She used to be a bit spicy, but now she’s just a touch shy at first. She thrives with other feline friends and would do best in a home with a cat companion. Heaven gets along well with other cats, but she hasn’t met any dogs yet. With patience, love, and a playmate, she’ll make the perfect addition to your home. Heaven is currently at our PetSmart location on Woodward. Animal House of South East Michigan, Inc.'s Adoption Policy

When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment. Our adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten $195 for a pair of cats or kittens Please note that we do not do same day adoptions and all adoption fees are non-refundable. AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We are also flexible if more time is needed to determine if its the right fit. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
