Heather (FIV+)'s Story
We aren’t sure what happened with Heather, but she was a spayed adult female wandering around as a stray until someone rescued her. She is FIV+ so she really should not be out living outside since her immune system could get overwhelmed.
She is a loving, affectionate cat that just can’t get enough pets. She would make a wonderful addition to a family.

She is FIV positive. She still looks and acts like any other cat. FIV is only transmitted to other felines primarily through deep, penetrating bite wounds.

She has been spayed, microchipped and is up to date on vaccines.

If you want want a really sweet girl, come meet Heather by emailing us at info@cnysnap.org or visiting the shelter during open hours.

Link to hours of when to visit cats at our Cortland shelter:
https://cnysnap.org/#hours
