Hazel's Story

Hazel 💐
Female Domestic Shorthair
Black || 1 Year Old

This sweet little munchkin here is Hazel. Now, you're probably looking around the room, wondering, "so... where is this cat?" Chances are, Hazel has tucked herself up into a cat tree being a little anti-social hermit. That's not entirely her fault, though.

Hazel came in as an owner surrender. She was raised by the same person since she was a young kitten in a quiet house all to herself. Now, she's in a noisy shelter with lots of strange people, cats, smells, and noises. She's scared and is not adjusting very well to the shelter life. She isn't aggressive, she is just scared and wants to feel safe.

She is skittish around other cats, but will not confront them. If she was to live with another cat, it would be best if it was with others who tend to keep to themselves. Dogs? We have not tested her with them, but it would likely be the same as with cats. She just wants her own space to be hers. A place she can stretch out and relax and learn to feel safe again. If you've got a quiet home and some patience to sit with her and help her realize she's safe, Hazel would be a perfect fit for you. 🐾
