Hazel's Story

Please email the address at end of this post for more information about Hazel!
Hazel is a wonderful sweet little girl, but will be shy initially. She was dumped on the side of I-5 with her 5 babies.
When a rescuer got the call about her, she raced down with traps and found her and her babies under the blackberries among needles and lots of other garbage.
It took all day, but the rescuer was able to get the entire family trapped. Hazel was petrified, but was being a very good mom taking care of and protecting her babies. After the kittens grew and were adopted, Hazel stayed with her foster mom so Hazel could learn she was loved and safe. She was very nervous and scared, and the foster mom spent a lot of time at home with her. Hazel slowly opened up and relaxed, and also made friends with some of the resident cats.
She is now a love bug and will roll over and loves her tummy rubbed for hours. If her foster mom is working on the computer and not showing her enough attention, Hazel head butts her hand off the keyboard so she can get major pets. Then she often flops over and purrs and drools.
She is great with other cats as long as you give them a slow and proper introduction. She will be very nervous in her new home at first since she is only used to a few people, but in time she will see how wonderful her new home is and relax.
The foster mom promised Hazel she will never be neglected or discarded again, and all she will ever know for the rest of her life is love and kindness. Hopefully we can find a quiet home with people that will adore and love this girl and treat her like the princess she is.
If you would like to know more about Hazel please email helping.kitties@yahoo.com. Cat Tales Rescue's Adoption Policy
Cats are a 15 - 20 year commitment, so we work very hard to make sure that the cat or kitten you are interested in is a good match. We want you to have the right cat! All of our cats and kittens come with a life-time return guarantee. They can be returned at any time and for any reason. We often recommend a two week trial just to be sure it is a good fit. We've had people suggest that this is hard on cats. It is! But not as hard as being in the wrong home for a decade or more. Re-homing adult cats can take months or longer, so it is our goal for all adoptions to be for the life of the cat. Cat Tales cats and kittens will have the following before adoption. Spay / Neuter surgery Screening for Feline Leukemia and FIV Age appropriate vaccines Micro-chipping Treatment for known parasites [Typically fleas, worms and mites.]
