Haze's Story

Haze is looking for the permanence of a forever home!

Haze is an esteemed member of the “Grey Scale Gang,” who arrived at our shelter as a group. She lived in a multi-cat home before arriving at EHS and was a bit overwhelmed at first, but she is starting to see through the fog of uncertainty towards a life where she can be a focal point!

ABOUT HAZE
- At shelter
- Haze is a skittish cat who has had minimal experience with humans.
- She arrived living up to her name, often being difficult to see and preferring to hide in a cubby or under a blanket. However, Haze’s confidence is growing every day!
- She is a gentle and curious cat who enjoys sitting on the window ledge watching the world outside. Sometimes, she may be found cuddled up with one of her roommates.
- Haze is realizing that she likes affection (some days more than others), and she has also started to enjoy chin and cheek rubs from the back-scratcher. She is even starting to allow some volunteers to pet her by hand (if only for a moment). At this point, Haze is most comfortable getting close to human hands when there is some tempting tube treat for her to lick off their fingers!
- This sweet girl LOVES to play and enjoys it most when you are down on the floor with her, guiding a wand toy for her to chase.
- Haze is currently enrolled in EHS’s socialization program, where dedicated volunteers are working to help her become more comfortable around people.
- Haze has been spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.

HAZE’S IDEAL HOME
- A skittish cat will benefit from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without young children or dogs.
- Haze appears to take comfort in her feline friends and would enjoy having another friendly cat in her new home, although she could also be the only cat, provided she receives plenty of love and playtime from her humans.
- Potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help Haze settle into her new environment. EHS will provide post-adoption support to assist Haze with a successful transition to her forever home.

If you can clearly see how Haze would benefit from joining your family, drop by the shelter to meet her today!

If you have any questions about Haze or the adoption process, please contact cats@etobicokehumanesociety.com
