HAWK*'s Story

Meet Crow (black kitty) and Hawk (brown tabby). These two brothers originally went to a foster home very shy and unsure. They are still coming out of their shells but have come a long way! Their next family will likely continue to see them blossom in their adoptive homes. Their foster reports: “Hawk is the more shy of the two when it comes to pets. Catch him napping or playing and he loves pets especially chin scratches. He has a sweet quiet purr and has the cutest little chirping meow that he greets you with. He loves a wand toy and has been using the litter box perfectly. He is very playful with his brother and would seem to do well with other cats.” Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
