Hawk's Story

Hi there… the name’s Hawk.
Yeah, I know… I’ve got one of those faces. Big ol’ tomcat cheeks. A face full of stories. The kind that tells you life hasn’t always been easy.

For a long time, nobody cared what happened to me. I lived outside surviving however I could. I missed a whole lot of meals. Slept with one eye open. Braved freezing nights and rough days where survival was all that mattered. No soft beds. No warm laps. No one waiting for me.
Until one day… everything changed. I walked into this funny little box called a live trap, and for the first time in my life, I met people who cared whether I lived or died.

They got me all fixed up. Neutered, vaccinated, and they even took care of my poor teeth… which means yep, I’m officially a toothless old man now. But don’t worry… I still eat like an absolute champ. Wet food? Dry food? Treats? I’m ready. Sometimes I even wear my food.

And somewhere along the way… I realized people are actually pretty wonderful.

Now I spend my days doing the things a senior gentleman deserves: Lounging on cozy blankets. Watching TV from the couch. Snuggling with my kitty friends. Teaching the younger cats how to properly cat. Supervising chores. “Helping” scoop litter boxes. Enjoying catnip banana time like it’s a full-time career.

And when someone walks into my room? Oh boy… I light right up.Because I LOVE people. Really, really love people.

I’ll come right over for pets with my permanent little smile on my face. I don’t mind being held. I’ve got the cutest raspy old man meow you’ve ever heard.

Sometimes I even get random zoomies and play with toys like I’m a kitten again.
I’m just a handsome old hunk looking for a retirement home of my own. A couch to share. A human to love. A soft place to finally rest after a lifetime of surviving.
Maybe… that could be with you.

You can come meet me daily from 1–5pm to see if I’m meant to be part of your family.

My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell — I really am a wonderful cat.

I am fully vetted: neutered, microchipped, FIV & FeLV negative, treated for fleas/ticks/and intestinal parasites, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations: distemper, rabies, and FeLV. I require an indoor-only home and, as with all cats — absolutely no declawing.

If you are interested in adopting Hawk, please come visit… we are open daily from 1-5pm (including holidays)… we need to meet you in person! If you have any questions, feel free to email us at info@furballcats.com or message us on Facebook: Furball Farm Cat Sanctuary.
