Havarti's Story

I'm a quiet 10 year old spayed female who was rescued from the freezing cold. Actually, I saw someone open their car door and I thought it looked warm inside, so I jumped right in! Luckily, the human recognized I was shivering and really skinny and wanted to help me. He offered me food and water. But, I didn't want anything because my tummy hurt really bad! He noticed I had a larger than normal belly that I wouldn't allow him to touch. So, he brought me to Kaleidoscope. I heard that I had something called a hernia and had to take a long nap to fix it. Best nap I've had in years! And well, after lots of rest and recovery, I'm feeling so much better! I still take a few daily meds to keep me at at my best. Also, I also keep hearing that I have something called FIV. I have no idea what that is and it's nothing that bothers me at all. I really love human attention and you can even find me batting around a toy or two. Mostly, I like to sunbathe, relax in squishy beds and feel comforted that humans are readily available. My dream is to find a warm lap to cuddle on and get daily showers of love. I get along fine with other cats, which is great since I don't want to share my FIV with anyone. And, small dogs are fine with me too. But, I don't really care if I have furry friends or not. Kids would be ok as long as they're respectful and kind.
