Hattie's Story

Hattie is a beautiful 2-year-old long-haired orange mackerel tabby with striking markings and a quiet personality that is still slowly unfolding.

Coming from a property where far too many cats were living together after their owner passed away, Hattie likely had very little individual attention before arriving at the shelter. Because of that, she can still be nervous and unsure in new situations, though lately she has started showing small signs of curiosity and bravery—especially when food is involved.

While still cautious overall, Hattie is trying. With patience, calm expectations, and a quieter environment, we believe she will continue gaining confidence at her own pace.

Previously spayed and ear-tipped, microchipped, dewormed, FIV/FeLV tested (negative), current on vaccines and flea/tick prevention.

Apply to adopt here:
https://orangecountyva.gov/159/Pet-Adoption-Foster-Care-Information
