Food is Harvey's secret weakness? Do you feel like you're being watched? Look for Harvey, he's watching you! He is playful and likes to pounce and interact with you and his siblings! Harvey is a confident kitten that has no problem being alone or with his litter mate Quinn. Harvey doesnt love to be picked up but will never say no to pets and scratches!<br/> He is gray and white, medium haired and has a very unique marking on his face outlining his entire muzzle, mirroring his twin sister Quinn's markings too! <br/><br/>Harvey was rescued with his stray mom and 4 of his siblings after they were born in the basement of a very old home in Hood River. The owner of the home discovered the mama cat sneaking into the basement, to find her in a small nook hiding a litter of newborn kittens! The house owner started leaving food out for the mama and indirectly helping to domesticate her. As our harsh summer weather started to peek through, this caregiver reached out to Hobbes Haven for support in removing the mama and kittens, so they had an adequate space to nurse, with the hopes they could be adopted. Hobbes Haven was able to rescue the entire family in June 2026 and has been working with mama Cinder and all of the kittens to get them ready for adoption!<br/>Due to them being rescued together and tamed for domestication alongside one another, they have endured growth together that has bonded them. Our goal is for Harvey to be adopted with one of his siblings to ensure a comfortable transition to his new home. <br/><br/>We hope to find families that will keep in touch with Hobbes Haven and update us with pictures and videos of our rescued friends! Remember that many times we have been fostering these kittens for many months, and that is another reason you know Hobbes Haven is a good-hearted organization to support, because our goal is to find the RIGHT homes, NOT a home RIGHT NOW.<br/>Here at Hobbes Haven we focus on supporting the health and well-being of feral and stray cat colonies via T-N-R-M (Trap- Neuter- Return- Monitor); if we encounter kittens or cats young enough or friendly enough to domesticate, we rescue them from those sites and work with them directly to get them healthy and ready for a second chance at life as a part of a family and a home. Our rescued cats and kittens are unique being that they were born as feral or stray cats, meaning it took more time and involvement to domesticate them may than others. When you support Hobbes Haven via your adoption and donations, you are helping a bigger ripple effect, because you are supporting existing feral cat colonies stop their cycle of suffering by getting all colony cats sterilized and vaccinated, but also offering a very rare second chance to a few lucky ones.<br/><br/>At Hobbes Haven, your adoption fee helps us cover this kitten's start-of-life veterinary care at one of our collaborating veterinary clinics in the Columbia River Gorge- this is a transparent one-to-one transaction, absolutely no revenue is made from this.<br/><br/>Currently we have an estimated guess that Harvey was born early May, making him too young at this moment to be neutered. His adoption fee will pay for his spay services ahead of time, ensuring he will have a healthy and kitten free future! He has received his first dose of FVRCP vaccine early July and will receive his 2nd and 3rd dose 1 month after the latter. Harvey has been dewormed twice and is receiving direct care and interaction to continue to domesticate him.<br/><br/>Up to the point of adoption, Hobbes Haven has covered the following out of pocket: FVRCP vaccine/s, deworming, antifungal bath/s, nail trimmings, veterinary treatment for ailments as kittens (URI), food, cat supplies, daily care, etc. - your donations help us cover these collective costs and truly make a difference!<br/><br/>Interested in adopting Harvey?<br/>1.
