Haruba's Story

Hi, I'm Haruba, a handsome short haired black and white tuxedo male born approximately 11/16/2020. I have a gentle soul and a soft spot for the people I trust. I can be a little cautious when I first meet someone, but with a bit of patience, I'll start to lean into your hand and reward you with the sweetest, quiet purrs. Once I feel safe, I truly enjoy attention and will seek you out for pets and companionship.
I've had quite the journey. My best friend Holon and I were rescued after our owner passed away, and we've stayed close ever since. We were indoor/outdoor cats in our previous life, and I used to love climbing and exploring. These days, I still enjoy playtime, especially with wand toys that let me show off my playful side. I'm a docile, easygoing boy who isn't picky about food, and I'll happily settle in for some quiet time near you. If you pick me up, I might get a little shy and tuck my head into your arm; it's just my way of feeling safe. I also have a thick coat that will need some regular combing, especially in the warmer months, and I do enjoy a good brushing session once I'm comfortable.
I would do best in a calm, quiet home without dogs, other cats, or young children. Respectful and patient teenagers could be okay for me. Most importantly, I'm looking for a home where I can stay with my best buddy Holon, as we help each other feel safe and confident, and we're happiest together. If you're looking for a gentle, loving pair to share your home and your heart, we just might be the perfect match. If so, please fill out an adoption application at www.wbcats.org/adopt. We'll be waiting with happy hearts and purrs!
