harper's Story
Harper is a gorgeous 1 ½ year old dilute calico. Like Hazel, she belonged to someone who had many cats. We don't know her history or how she ended up at the Amador Animal Control Shelter. She was thought to be feral and APAL agreed to take her in. She was very scared and shy. She came in with Hazel, a 2-year-old Torti. They were put in a cage together and became fast friends. They gave each other comfort during the scary times of a new environment. They snuggle and sleep together. It turned out that Harper is not feral and is a real sweetheart who loves attention. You just have to approach her slowly and she will accept your petting. With patience she will overcome her shyness and be the best pet and companion. She deserves a forever home and hopefully for Hazel to be adopted with her. They will both give someone lots of love in return.
