My name is Shadow and I'm a Domestic Shorthair currently living at the Santa Barbara Campus, eager for a new home!<br/><br/>Shadow is a tender hearted, sensitive boy who sees the world with wide, curious eyes. At just under 4 years old, this little guy is still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place, but once he feels comfortable, his playful and spirited personality begins to bloom. He's incredibly observant and loves watching the world around him- especially anything that moves! From birds outside the window to "hunting" during playtime, Shadow has a fun and energetic side that comes out when he feels secure. He's even been known to show off his acrobatic moves during play! He'll need a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. He may be timid in new environments and with new people, but with gentle reassurance and consistency, he forms meaningful bonds and enjoys being close to his person. A quieter home without too much commotion would be ideal for him, where he can continue to grow in his confidence. If you have a soft spot for the shy ones and the patience to watch a beautiful personality unfold, Shadow is sure to be a rewarding companion. <br/><br/>Adoptions are open 12pm-4:30pm every day, except Wednesdays, and no appointment is needed. Like all SBH animals, when I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoptions also include a certificate for a complimentary post-adoption veterinary exam from a local clinic and our partners at Hills Science Diet will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.<br/><br/>Need some supplies?
