Harley's Story

This sweet girl had a rough start to life. She came into our rescue on Christmas 2025 only months old. This baby girl was hit by a car and left for dead. A good Samaritan saw her and could leave her. She reached out for help and we took her in. Harley has multiple breaks in her both hips and also her tail. We took her to the best orthopedic surgeon hours away but we knew this girl deserved a better life then how it started. Harley had pin and plates put into both sides of her hips and had to have a full amputation. She has completely healed and is now able to run, jump and play like the kitten she is. Harley has a big personality but she loves her people. She likes to sleep in bed with her person and sunbath in the window. Forgotten Pet and Wildlife Rescue's Adoption Policy
The first step is to fill out our no obligation application. We will review you application and if approved we will reach out for a phone interview. A home visit may be required. The next step is to set up a meet and greet in the foster home. If all goes well the adopter can sign the contract, pay the adoption fee and take their new family member home.
