Harley's Story

Meet Harley 🖤🐾

Harley is a 2-year-old sweetheart who is finally getting the chance to enjoy life the way a young cat should.

This beautiful girl came to us as an unclaimed stray, and from the moment she arrived, we knew something wasn’t right. Harley had an extremely stuffy nose, a deep cough, and spent most of her time sleeping. She wasn’t playful, curious, or energetic like most cats her age. Instead, she seemed exhausted and uncomfortable, struggling just to breathe normally.

When Harley went in for her spay surgery, we finally discovered the reason she had been feeling so poorly. She had a nasopharyngeal polyp — a small growth of tissue located at the back of her throat that was blocking airflow between her nose and mouth, making it difficult for her to breathe comfortably.

We promptly removed the polyp during surgery, and almost immediately, Harley began to transform.

Within just a week, she became an entirely different cat.

Now Harley runs, jumps, chases toys, and zooms around like she’s making up for lost time. She absolutely loves playing with her kitty friends and is happiest when she’s surrounded by fun and companionship. She’s also incredibly affectionate and adores cuddling with her people. Harley doesn’t mind dogs, enjoys being held, and has blossomed into the bright, bubbly young cat she was always meant to be.

Best of all, Harley is expected to have no long-term issues moving forward. After spending who knows how long struggling to breathe, she now gets to experience life fully — and she is embracing every second of it.

Harley is ready to leave her difficult past behind and start the happy new chapter she has always deserved. All she needs now is a forever family to share it with. ❤️

Adoption fee is $200
Adoption applications available at rpaw.org
