Harlem's Story

Meet Harlem!

Harlem's story began more than 1,500 miles away on the beautiful island of Roatán, Honduras. Thanks to Flight Angels and many caring volunteers, this handsome little "cow kitty" made the journey to Iowa for one very important reason--to find a family of his very own.

Born on March 8, 2026, Harlan has settled in beautifully and every day his sweet personality shines a little brighter with his big ears.

This affectionate boy has quickly discovered that laps are one of life's greatest treasures. He's always looking for an opportunity to climb into your lap, soak up pets, and purr the day away. At bedtime, you'll often find him snuggled up sleeping with the other cats in his foster home.

One of Harlan's most endearing quirks is that he loves hearing Spanish spoken to him! Whether it reminds him of his beginnings in Honduras or simply brings him comfort, his foster mom has noticed he lights up whenever she talks to him in Spanish.

Harlan is playful, curious, and loves exploring his surroundings. He's also a champion eater--mealtime is definitely one of his favorite parts of the day! He has adjusted wonderfully to his foster home and loves both the dogs and the other cats, happily playing, cuddling, and sleeping alongside his furry friends.

Because he thrives on companionship, Harlan must be adopted into a home with another friendly cat or dog or be adopted with another kitten. He truly enjoys having a buddy to play, wrestle, and nap with.

After traveling from a Caribbean island to Iowa, Harlem is now searching for the one thing he hasn't found yet--a forever family to love him for the rest of his life.

If you'd like to meet Harlem, please complete our online adoption application here:
https://rescuerehabrehome.org/cat-adoption-application

Adoption Fee is $125 for a kitten or the Kitten Special 2 for $200
* Spay/Neuter surgery
* Lifetime microchip
* FeLV/FIV testing at time of alter
* Age-appropriate vaccinations
* Deworming
* FELV/FIV testing (he tested negative which is required to make the trip to US)Rescue Rehab Rehome does not adopt animals outside the state of Iowa.
