Harlem's Story

Named after the viral Harlem Shake dance/meme, Harlem the kitten is always looking for a party to join. Even though he has suspected cerebellar hypoplasia(CH) or Wobbly Cat Syndrome, he loves to be where the action is even if he can't participate in it. Harlem likes to spend his day finding a sunny spot and loafing there until you get home. Once his human arrives, Harlem will attempt to follow you around before giving up and waiting for you to settle down so he can toddle over and beg to be picked up and pampered.

Even though his walking is more akin to drunken staggering rather than dancing, Harlem can get around on his own just fine. He most likely will never be able to jump or climb on things, so he's very much terrestrially bound for now.

Harlem will do well as a solo kitty or with fellow feline friends and canine companions that can respect his space. While he's mostly unbothered by new friends and is very laid back, he also doesn't take flak from his siblings either. He will stand his ground-even if he is a little wobbly-and hit back if someone is bullying him. Most importantly, he's looking for someone who can accommodate his disability and give him lots of love!

Harlem's estimated birthday is 3/25/26.

If you're interested in adopting any of our kittens please fill out the adoption application and please note which kitten you're interested in meeting: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSenKCEx6kQ-VU9okR7C70MDijsjDHV1VO_7XlBR33tlpsYrUQ/viewform

Please allow up to 48-72 hours after submitting an application to reach out regarding the adoption process - thank you!
