They are about a year old.<br/><br/>Hank and Ace have come a long way from their shy beginnings. They were trapped at about 3 months old. They have grown into affectionate, goofy, playful companions who need a patient, understanding family to support them as they continue to grow.<br/><br/>Ace (striking black with white) is curious, cuddly, and always ready for head bumps or a cozy hiding spot under a towel. Can I tell you that he will stick to you like glue once he gets to know you? Especially under your right elbow ! As you're least expecting it, when scooping the litter box and he's up a little high, Ace may land on your back and work his way up to your shoulders ! Ace is incredibly people-oriented and loves attention. He may occasionally give a gentle nibble when he gets excited. Ace has mostly outgrown this with a little redirection. He is quite good at getting your attention by chirping to you until you talk back. A most polite kitty, for when churu is being offered to all four kittens, Ace will wait to be last. Always, he is waiting for the next chance to romp with his brother Hank.<br/><br/>Hank (blue gray) is the sensitive soul. Although he's a big boy (nearly 12 lbs) he may be shy at first and dart away, but he's easy to pick up and quickly melts into your arms. Once Hank feels safe, he's as loving as his brother and enjoys affection just as much. He loves perching at the top of the cat tree with brother Ace and running crazily through the playroom. And he really loves feathers and giving great head bumps! Like his brother Ace, Hank is nearly as polite when taking churu or chicken fillet treats. You know Hank is yours when he looks deeply into your eyes. You won't have long to wait.<br/><br/>Both boys love belly rubs, being held, and playtime—especially laser, wand and spring toys, varied balls and watching "birds for cats." They'll thrive in a calm, adult-only home without dogs, where they can settle in at their own pace.<br/><br/>If you are looking to add to your kitty family, these two would do best with an older female ;they have been assertive with the male cat in their foster home. They may also be best as the only cats in the home.<br/><br/>If youre looking for a pair that balances confidence and sensitivity—and rewards patience with deep affection—Ace and Hank are your boys.<br/><br/>What Ace and Hank are looking for in a home:<br/><br/>- They want to stay together forever and must be adopted as a pair.<br/>- They need a kind and patient guide to help them continue adjusting. Loud noises, fast movements, and strangers can make them nervous.<br/>- Theyll need extra time and TLC to build trust.<br/>Theyll need to be allowed to set the pace for touch and contact<br/>- They have lots of young cat energy and will benefit from plenty of active play time.<br/>- They feel at ease in a quiet and calm environment.<br/>- They need to live indoors only.<br/>- They have history with other cats<br/>- They would prefer a house with no dogs <br/>- They need an adult-only home.<br/><br/>All Alley Cat Projects cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption.<br/><br/>Alley Cat Project adoption fees are:<br/><br/> - $200 per cat or kitten<br/> - $350 for pair of cats or kittens<br/> - $50 for senior cat (over 8 years old)<br/> - Additional charitable donations are appreciated and support our overall rescue efforts<br/><br/>Thank you for your interest in Hank and Ace!
