They are approximately 9 months old. <br/><br/>Hank and Ace have come a long way from their shy beginnings. They’ve grown into affectionate, playful companions who just need a patient, understanding home to keep blossoming.<br/><br/>Ace (black with white) is curious, cuddly, and always ready for head bumps or a cozy hiding spot under a towel. He’s incredibly people-oriented and loves attention, though he may occasionally give a gentle nibble when he gets excited (a habit he’s mostly outgrown with a little redirection).<br/><br/>Hank (gray) is the sensitive soul. He can be a bit spooky at first and may dart away, but he’s easy to pick up and quickly melts into your arms. Once he feels safe, he’s just as loving as his brother and enjoys affection just as much.<br/><br/>Both boys love belly rubs, being held, and playtime—especially wand toys and watching “birds for cats.” They’ll thrive in a calm, adult-only home without dogs, where they can settle in at their own pace.<br/><br/>Hank does have ongoing soft stool, likely due to a food sensitivity, but he’s been thoroughly vetted. With the right diet and routine, he continues to do well.<br/>If you’re looking for a pair that balances confidence and sensitivity—and rewards patience with deep affection—Ace and Hank are your boys.<br/><br/>What Ace and Hank are looking for in a home:<br/><br/>- They want to stay together forever and must be adopted as a pair.<br/>-They were trapped around 3 months of age, so they need a kind and patient guide to help them continue adjusting. Loud noises, fast movements, and strangers can make them nervous.<br/>- They’ll need extra time and TLC to build trust.<br/>They’ll need to be allowed to set the pace for touch and contact<br/>- They have lots of young cat energy and will benefit from plenty of active play time.<br/>- They feel at ease in a quiet and calm environment.<br/>- They need to live indoors only.<br/>- They have history with other cats.<br/>- They would likely not do well with dogs.<br/>- They need an adult-only home.<br/><br/>All Alley Cat Project’s cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption.<br/><br/>Alley Cat Project adoption fees are:<br/><br/> - $200 per cat or kitten<br/> - $350 for pair of cats or kittens<br/> - $50 for senior cat (over 8 years old)<br/> - Additional charitable donations are appreciated and support our overall rescue efforts<br/><br/>Thank you for your interest in Hank and Ace!
