Han Solo and Tweety (bonded pair, reduced adoption fee)'s Story
My name is Tweety and I'm a 4-year-old tabby girl and I'm posted with my kitten pal Han Solo. I was surrendered by people who never bothered to take me to the vet, so, predictably, I had lots and lots of kittens, then they gave me up with having too many cats as the reason for surrendering me. I never learned what happened to my babies. I like to be around people, but I admit it takes me a while to get used to new ones. Certain behaviors, such as wariness at being approached for petting by hands coming from above, being even more startled than most cats by sudden noises and movements, or guardedness around feet, make my fosters suspect I may have experienced abuse in my past, such as by being struck or kicked, but I'm not telling.

I'll admit, I was kind of a mess until Han Solo came around. He's only about four-five months old and he kind of reminds me of my babies. It didn't take him long to win me over with sheer cuteness. I'm not as much a mother to him as I am a big sister. We run around and play a lot-- he's the perfect companion for me because I have a lot of energy also. I know I'm bigger than he is, so I'm pretty gentle and I seem to be doing a good job of it. We've become a bonded pair, so neither of us will be adopted without the other.

There are a couple of very young children in my foster home. I would probably be OK adopted into a home with older kids but younger ones don't always respect my boundaries. I respond with a swat, but I don't actually try to hurt them.

We have been spayed/neutered, our shots are up to date, and we have tested negative for FIV and FeLV. We're being fostered in Charlestown. The total adoption fee for both of us is $295, which is putting us pretty cheap if you ask me. It's a huge discount.
