Halle's Story

***Sharonville location***

Halle is very precious to us at the shelter. She has been a work in a progress but boy has she made progress, thanks to the attention of our many volunteers! Halle was born in May of 2024 and had one sibling who passed away when they were a few months old. Halle grew up with a classic case of “only kitten “ syndrome and was difficult to socialize, even though she spent her early life in foster care. She was fearful of being handled and aggressive towards other cats. After individual socialization and repeated exposure to other cats in her free range room, she gradually learned that life could be enjoyable if she would let others in. Halle now enjoys pets and chin scratches. She doesn’t like being held or carried but if she were adopted into a home, we could see her learning to trust and enjoy snuggles and cuddles at her own pace. She is a pretty girl with a beautiful coat and striking features. She tends to be on the quiet side and her favorite pastime is bird watching at the windows in room 2. She has learned to play with the other young cats in her room and draws her curiosity from seeing what other cats are engaging in. She would do well as an only cat or with others. It’s unknown how she would be with dogs or small children but does not like unpredictability.

Please consider making an appointment to see if Halle would be the right fit for your household.

*Must be 21 or older to adopt
**Our shelter has a policy to only adopt within a 50 mile radius so that if problems arise, the pet can easily be returned to the shelter.

HEARTT Animal Refuge's Adoption Policy
All adoptions are by appointment only. We have two locations, Sharonville and Bridgetown, so please clarify who you would like to meet so we can set up the appointment at the correct location. Our adoption fee for both dogs and cats is $100 per animal. We have a policy to only adopt to individuals age 21 or older. Additionally, we only adopt within a 50 mile radius so that if problems arise, the pet can easily be returned to the shelter. All animals are spayed/neutered and vaccinated prior to adoption. We also give flea and dewormer treatments. Dogs are tested for Heartworm and cats are quarantined for 8 weeks prior to FIV/FeLV testing. Please see our list of adoptable dogs and cats or check our Facebook page at Facebook.com/HearttCincy. Not all of our animals are shown on Petfinder. Consider a "Senior" pet.....they really need love and a home to call their own in their senior years. We have a few beautiful kittens and many adult cats that are looking for you. Give us a call to enrich the life of a deserving dog or cat, as well as your own! All adoptions are made by appointment only. Email HaveAHeartt@yahoo.com to begin the process.
