Haley's Story

Haley is a beautiful 14-year-old gray sweetheart who is simply looking for a soft place to land and someone to love her through her golden years. Gentle, calm, and incredibly sweet, Haley warms up quickly and soon becomes your little shadow, happily soaking up every head rub and pet she can get.

This lovely senior girl still has so much love to give. She takes her daily thyroid medication like a champ and handles it with the quiet grace that makes her so special. Haley does have a little arthritis in her back legs, but it rarely slows her down – she’s perfectly content curled up in a cozy cat tree perch or tucked into a comfy cubby for a peaceful nap.

Haley says dogs are not really her style – especially big, nosey ones – and she really doesn’t care to share space with another cat either. What she truly dreams of is a calm, quiet home where she can finally relax, feel safe, and spend her retirement years surrounded by kindness and comfort.

Senior cats like Haley are the hidden treasures of the world — loving, appreciative, and full of quiet companionship. She deserves a family who will cherish her for the wonderful soul she is.

To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
