GYPSY's Story

This is Gypsy, a six month old tabby with a little bit of tortoiseshell markings (oranges) who is currently in a foster home. Gypsy is a true love bug who enjoys snuggling and giving kisses. She loves to play and may do well with another cat if the other cat is accepting and they are slowly and properly introduced. However, Gypsy can be reactive when touched in certain places, if hands are moved towards her, or she is picked up.. She seems to get overstimulated by these actions. As such, she may lightly nip in response so it is recommended that she be around experienced cat-owning adults who understand her behavior. Gypsy has been a solo cat and tends to seek playtime with her human companions. Occasionally, she may playfully go after their feet, but she responds well to correction. She has shown some hesitation with strangers, but she can warm up to them with time and familiarity. When she is resting on her foster's lap she can sometimes get her nails clipped. Once Gypsy gains confidence and socialization she responds well.
