Gurro's Story

Meet Gurro — A Brave and Gentle Soul with Endless Purrs

If ever a cat deserved a happily-ever-after, it's Gurro.

This beautiful brown tabby has overcome more than most cats ever should. After she and her younger sister, Melody, were rescued, they were found to be severely neglected and malnourished. And since then, Gurro has also faced several surgeries with incredible courage. Today, she's happily healthy. Through every challenge, one thing has never changed: the love and comfort she and Melody have found in each other.

Now, Gurro is ready to leave the hard days behind and begin the life she's always deserved.

A quiet, gentle girl with a heart of gold, Gurro is happiest when she's curled up beside the people she loves—or even better, snoozing on her foster dad. She's the definition of a lap cat, soaking up every bit of affection with a contented rumble that seems to never end. In fact, her amazing foster mom says that Gurro's superpower is her enthusiastic purr. Once you start petting her, we promise you'll see what we mean.

This girl embraces life's simple pleasures: a cozy lap, a soft bed, a delicious meal of wet food and spending time with her beloved humans and with Melody.

While she can be a little tentative when meeting new people or animals, Gurro's lived smoothly with dogs, a kitten and visitors and just needs a little time to settle in. Once she does, her sweet, loving nature shines.

Gurro's ideal household would be peaceful with adults, with or without older teens, who understand that the best friendships are sometimes built gradually. Most importantly, she and Melody are deeply devoted to each other and need to stay together. After all their challenges, they deserve the confidence and comfort of facing the future side by side.

If your idea of happiness includes a warm lap, a soothing purr and the love and magic that only extraordinary kitties can bring, Gurro (and her sister) are waiting to meet you right meow!

WE DO NOT HAVE A PHYSICAL LOCATION AS WE ARE A FOSTER-BASED ORGANIZATION. Forever Fortunate Felines's Adoption Policy
Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines. We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion! Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent. We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster-based, we really understand our cat's personalities at a deep level. This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family. In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here: https://www.foreverfortunatefelines.org/adopt Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue. Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten. Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day. Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet. We recommend a pet carrier that opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier. If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day. If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $10 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home. We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies. Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age. We are able to accept PayPal or most major credit cards for the adoption fee. Adoption Fees: http://foreverfortunatefelines.org/adoption-fees/ We have streamlined our adoption process to make it easy! Everything from the application to payment, to the contract is online. Additionally, all of the cat's records will be placed in your free Pet lovers account at petstablished.com to keep organized.
