Gumby's Story

Meet Gumby: Gravity's Greatest Nemesis!

Have you ever watched a cat and thought, "Are you doing that on purpose?" Meet Gumby, the answer is... probably not.

This adorable 3-year-old gray goofball likely suffered a traumatic brain injury before coming to rescue, leaving him with a permanent case of the wobbles. He walks like he's had one too many catnip cocktails, occasionally tips over for dramatic effect, and has absolutely no interest in letting balance get in the way of living his best life.

Stairs? Let's not make life harder than it needs to be. Gumby would much prefer a nice one-story home where he can wobble from room to room without having to negotiate a staircase like it's Mount Everest.

His hearing is a little fuzzy. His eyesight isn't exactly HD. His coordination? Well... let's just say if there were Olympic events for enthusiastic falling over, he'd bring home the gold.

But here's the thing...

Gumby has never met a stranger.

Cats? Love them.
Dogs? New best friend.
People? Obviously here to pet him.
Small woodland creatures? (Okay, maybe not thembut you get the idea.)

He greets the world with the kind of joy and optimism we should all aspire to. He doesn't know he's different, and frankly, he doesn't care. He's too busy making friends, asking for attention, and proving that happiness has absolutely nothing to do with perfect balance.

Despite his unique walk, Gumby uses the litter box like a champ, gets around just fine, and has adapted beautifully to his little quirks. He simply needs a safe environment and a family that appreciates that sometimes life's greatest treasures come with a little extra wobble.

If you've been looking for a cat who will make you smile every single day, cheerfully flop over in the middle of the room, then get right back up like nothing happened, Gumby is ready to wobble his way straight into your heart.

He's not broken.
He's not fragile.
He's just Gumbyand we think that's pretty perfect.

Adoption fee is $150
Adoption applications available at rpaw.org
