Gucci's Story

Gucci is a domestic short haired, orange tabby with white, neutered male kitten with an estimated date of birth of Oct. 24, 2025. Gucci is the brother to Chanel and Prada. Gucci and 2 siblings were removed from an outbuilding on a rural property in southeastern Otter Tail County, MN, in mid-December 2025 at approximately 8 weeks of age. Gucci is silly, curious, and rough and tumble in his play.

Sadly, two of Gucci's littermates were found deceased, and most likely had succumbed to hypothermia from extreme cold. Their feral mom was done with nursing and mothering her kittens. The plan is to live trap and spay mom once the outdoor temperatures are well above freezing, and if she remains on the property. It would not be safe to live trap mom under current winter conditions and spay her, and then release her with a shaved belly without being able to safely contain her to a dry, heated structure.

Kittens born outdoors are also vulnerable to attacks from predators, disease, starvation, collisions with motor vehicles and cruel humans. Such suffering would be drastically reduced if people spayed and neutered their pets and kept them on their property. If you are going to feed outdoor cats then you should take the responsibility to get them fixed /desexed.

Gucci can be adopted with a sibling or go to a home with another young, playful and friendly cat. Kittens this age do better when adopted as pairs as they will grow into adults with fewer undesirable behaviors like biting and pouncing your head and feet while you are trying to sleep.

Neutered; current on vaccinations including rabies; feline leukemia virus and feline immunodeficiency virus negative; dewormed; microchipped; and litter box trained.

Far North Feline Rescue's Adoption Policy
Initial contact is usually made via email. Potential adopters are asked to provide basic information such as if they rent or own their residence; have any other pets in the household; have any children in the household; and if they are an established client with a veterinary clinic. Answers to these questions help us determine the best fit for them among the cats available for adoption. Then a meet and greet is set up for that cat in the foster home where more questions can be asked, and the adopter and cat interaction can be observed. Our adoption process is NOT that the first one to contact us is the one who gets to adopt the kitten/cat, and that can be difficult for certain potential adopters to accept. Our goal is to put the kitten or cat in the right home the first time. We allow for a 2 week trial period and the cat or kitten can then be returned to us without judgment and the adoption fee refunded.
