Gris – 4 years old | 17 lbs<br/><br/>Sometimes behavior makes a lot more sense when you realize what someone is going through.<br/><br/>When Gris arrived, she seemed guarded and a little irritable with all the strangers suddenly surrounding her. New place, unfamiliar smells, hands reaching toward her — it was a lot.<br/><br/>We’ve since discovered something important.<br/><br/>Gris appears to be visually challenged.<br/><br/>Imagine how overwhelming that must feel. Your world changes overnight, and you can’t fully see what’s happening around you. It’s no wonder Gris has been cautious about who she trusts.<br/><br/>The good news is that underneath the uncertainty, Gris is beginning to show us her softer side. She has already started to build trust with one of our staff members and will accept gentle attention from someone she feels safe with.<br/><br/>She isn’t the kind of cat who will leap into someone’s arms on day one. She’s the kind who will take time, patience, and understanding — but the bond you earn with a cat like Gris is something truly special.<br/><br/>Gris was previously spayed and had a current rabies vaccine.
